Miney is a minimalist personal finance app for tracking income, expenses, transfers, accounts, categories, budgets, and reports. Because financial records can be sensitive, we design Miney with privacy and data protection in mind.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, when it may be shared, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
Depending on how you use Miney, we may collect the following types of information:
- Account information, such as your email address or account identifier if you create an account or enable sync.
- Financial records you enter, such as income, expenses, transfers, account names, categories, budgets, notes, dates, amounts, and related transaction details.
- App settings and preferences, such as currency, category settings, budget preferences, display settings, and sync preferences.
- Device and usage information, such as device type, operating system, app version, diagnostic data, crash reports, and basic interaction data used to improve reliability.
- Support communications, such as messages, feedback, issue reports, and related information you choose to send us.
We do not intentionally collect bank login credentials, payment card numbers, government identification numbers, or other information that is not needed to provide Miney features.
How we use information
We use information to:
- Provide core app features, including bookkeeping, account management, budget planning, bill search, chart statistics, and multi-device synchronization.
- Save and sync your records across devices when sync is enabled.
- Maintain, secure, troubleshoot, and improve Miney.
- Respond to support requests and user feedback.
- Understand general product usage and app performance.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms where necessary.
We do not sell your personal financial records. We do not use your personal financial records for third-party advertising.
Sync and cloud storage
If you enable multi-device synchronization, Miney may process and store your data through cloud infrastructure so your records can stay available across your devices. Sync is intended to make your own data accessible to you, not to make your financial records public.
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for controlling access to devices where Miney is installed.
How we share information
We may share information only in limited circumstances:
- With service providers that help us operate, host, sync, secure, analyze, or support Miney.
- When required by law, regulation, legal process, or a valid government request.
- To protect the rights, safety, and security of Miney, our users, or others.
- In connection with a business transaction, such as a merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring, or sale of assets.
- With your consent or at your direction.
Service providers are expected to process information only as needed to provide services to Miney.
Data retention
We keep information for as long as needed to provide Miney, maintain your account, support synchronization, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.
When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete, de-identify, or securely retain it according to our operational and legal requirements.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.
No app, network, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. If you believe your account or data may have been compromised, contact us promptly.
Your choices
You can update, correct, or delete many records directly in the app. Depending on your location and applicable law, you may also have rights to request access, correction, deletion, export, restriction, or objection to certain processing of your personal information.

Children
Miney is not intended for children under the age required by applicable law to use online services without parental consent. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children where parental consent is required.
International processing
If you use Miney from outside the country where our service providers operate, your information may be processed in other countries. Those countries may have data protection laws that differ from the laws in your location.
Third-party services
Miney may rely on third-party platforms or service providers for hosting, synchronization, analytics, diagnostics, app distribution, payments, or support. Their handling of information may be governed by their own terms and privacy policies where applicable.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify users through the app, website, or another appropriate method.
